This year the sqn once again contributed to the Dunfermline Remembrance parade supplying a squadron and banner party and laying a wreath. The Remembrance Day Parade means a lot, obviously, to the armed forces and also to the cadet forces and this year we also did two services in Cowdenbeath commemorating the lost soldiers, brothers, fathers, sons, in WWI and WWII also the men and woman lost upto this date in different conflicts around the world. Next year we will be taking part in FOUR services the joint WWI and WWII memorials in dunfermline, The two cowdenbeath and our new stage Rosyth oddly the closest to the sqn that we'd never heard of. Thank you to all our armed forces past, present and future. "Lest We Forget"

Every year we sell poppies for the British Legion in Dunfermline to raise money for the people that lost their lives during the war. This year at poppy selling we had 16 Cadets doing attending to help sell poppies. The cadets were spread out at different locations around Dunfermline town during the day. As every year is we managed to sell lots of poppies to the public and raise an amazing amount of money. Overall we managed to raise a total of £1,009,78 which was a fantastic achievement.

3rd November 2013 – Pre NCO Course On the 1st of November till the 3rd of November CDT Godsell and CDT Allan attended a pre NCO course based at RAF Leauchars. It was a weekend long course that was going to give us an insight on Leadership skills and Teamwork. For the weekend we had to make up a talk that lasted two minutes on introducing ourselves. During the weekend we focused a lot on teamwork exercises and following leaders in the group. During the teamwork exercises we learned a lot of skills about listening to everyone in the group, giving out different jobs and listening to what the leader of the group has to say. On the Saturday night we had to prepare a 20 minute long presentation in a group of four about a random subject related to air cadets. We got given time in the ICT Suite to make up our PowerPoint presentation and to practise it. On the Sunday we done more leadership exercises and then shortly after we done our presentations. Overall from the weekend myself CDT Godsell and CDT Allan gained a lot of skills which would help us in our paths to hopefully becoming NCO’s.
