On the 8th of November 2015, 1145 air cadets attended Remembrance Parades in Dunfermline and Cowdenbeath commemorating those who paid the ultimate sacrifice through times of war and conflict. At 1045 hours we started the parade at Dunfermline by marching to the World War 1 memorial where the service took began as the Dunfermline Abbey bells chimed 1100 hours . We then had a two minute silence to remember all those who were injured or killed in battle. When we returned to the British legion we then travelled to Cowdenbeath Memorial Parade, laying a wreath at the cenotaph on top of a steep hill and finally parading down to a memorial service outside the council building where further wreaths were laid, unfortunately due to the driving winds and rain some sections of the service were cut short. It was an emotional experience for all of the cadets who attended and we are glad to say that we all enjoyed ourselves representing our Squadron at both events.
